Holidays! Holidays!! Holidays!!!

Economy downturn; Financial crisis; Stocks market crash; Recessions; Bonus CUT!!

Darn, the world looks so gloomy. People are losing their jobs, their cash playing stocks, some will lose their lives, others will lose their hairs. But well, I do not care much, I still wanna go for my holidays.

Wanted to get away on a budget trip this Dec. Wanted to go Hong Kong to enjoy the winter. But, as you see, Hong Kong is way out of our budget. So could only go Malaysia or the nearby Batam. In the end, decided to go for a 3D2N short trip to Desaru, staying at Pulai Desaru Beach Resort. Never been to Desaru, but the place looks fun on the show on Channel U. The fruit farm and seafood looks good.

Anyway, do not think there is anything much to do there. Will be just a relaxing trip... maybe enjoy some spa and lazing around by the beach..

Suddenly, the world seems so beautiful again......

Saturday's Outings

Date : 18 Oct 2008, Saturday

Our plans for this day is very simple; that is to bring my dear's mum and sixth aunt to Quan Hu fish farm for fish spa. However, in the end, we visited places that we did not planned before hand. After Quan Hu, we went to the Dragon fruit farm, the Hay Dairies Goat Farm also some organic vegetable farms. So, it is a day when we can be closer to nature.
We set off at about 11am with dear's aunt driving. Ha.. it feels good to be driven around. There are 7 of us; me, dear, dear's mum, dear's aunt and her two kids.

We went to the Quan Hu fish farm first. The spa is considered cheap which cost $10 for 30 mins. This our first time doing this spa. Quite fun, the bites of the fishes are not painful but rather ticklish.

Me at the small fishes pond.

My dear with her mum and aunt.

Us!

Look at the fishes!

Over at the big fishes pond, those fishes are pretty big. Some as big as around 20-25cm long.

While the adults were getting bitten by the fishes, the kids catches longkong fishes. Cost $5 per hour and you get to keep the container and the fishes you caught.

You can also feed some hungry koi there.

After the fish spa, we suggested going over to the Drangon fruit farm which is 10mins drive away. Too bad, we went at the wrong time. There is no drangon fruit for sale. It is the low season now. Another three weeks will be good. Nevertheless, saw some grapes there.

And we ended up feeding and playing with the koi there. We spent quite some time there, just to relax and enjoy the clear air. I sort of know one of the owner there, as I had been there for a couple of times already. Had brought their home grown rambutons before.

Next we ended up at the goat farm, just beside the Drangon fruit farm. Soon after I got there, I was attacked by a goat.

Attacked by another one. The goats must have mistaken my brown colored bermudas as dried grass.

The goats are cute. They will suck and lick your fingers if you feed them with grasses.

Us us!!

After the goat farm, dear's aunt wanted to go to a organic farm. Somehow, before we found the organic farm, we ended up at a jetty.. haha... Us us us!!!

Finally, at the organic farm. Nothing much here. The prices are expensive. Had organic ice-creams here.

You jump, I jump???!?!

Last stop, Bollywood. Wanted to walk around this farm which has plenty of different fruits and vegetables. However, the sky starts to rain. So, what can we do but just to keep a photo of ourselves, again..

The day was well-spent, fun and relaxing. Once in a while, it is good to get away from the crowded city area to visit a place which is less crowded. Will take away all your stress... hmm next place to go should be Palua Ubin bah, anyone?

Beyond Sunday

Today was sunny when we left home at around 1130 hours. By the time we reached Orchard at around noon, it starts to rain. Anyway, the rain soon stops. Well, actually I had totally forgotten when was the last time we had gone out, let alone go shopping on a Sunday. Haha... Sunday is our nua day where we do nothing and rot at our own home. But this Sunday is different as my dear needs to search for her white dress to attend a friend's wedding. And I.... keke.. was hoping that somehow, we would end up at Plaza Singapura later that afternoon.

As it turns out, shopping in the early morning seems fun. Most of the shoppers are tourists and yeah, we actually felt that we were tourists too. Had fun shopping but after walking thru' Orchard, still cannot get the white dress.

However, I got my wish! We ended up at Plaza Sing!! Haha... why Plaza Sing excites me is because two members of Beyond, Ah Paul and Ah Wing would be there. Some of my friends who are Beyond's fans were already there. Haha nice to meet them again.

Hee... here are some pics......

We decided to wait for them somewhere before they go up the stage.

Quite a crowd of people were there too, mostly in their 30s and 40s. One auntie was there with her kid. However, there were also quite a few teens there too. Wonder how they got to know Beyond.

Haha... here we go again....

Here they come!!

Ah Paul walk right pass me and I managed to say "Hello" to him. Haha.. he responded by saying "Hello" back! This simple gesture makes my day.. haha....

Ah Paul and Ah Wing on stage. The emcee for the afternoon is Cruz Teng of FM93.3.

Ah Paul. In his 40s but still look young. No wonder Zhu Yin is still with him after so many years.. ha..

Ah Wing, hmmm, he has put on weight.....

Cuiyi, the gal holding the camera, is a Beyond fanatic, but very how lian. She stalked Ah Paul and Ah Wing to their hotel and managed to force them to take photo with her. Then she mms this photo to me to try and make me jealous. See, very how lian hor....

Peace.....

The duo later appears in Superband. However, their performance is truly disappointing, especially Ah Wing. He needs to sing with the help of a paper and yet he sings wrongly. But well, no matter what, they still got my support, although I will not be going for their concert this Nov.

Big Win for Arsenal

Stayed up for the Champions League Match late last night. Definitely worth sacrificing my ahem beauty sleep for this match. The scoreline reads Arsenal 4 Porto 0 at the end of the match, but it could have been easily 8-0 or more.

1-0, 31 mins, Robin Van Persie

2-0, 40 mins, Adebayor

3-0, 48 mins, Robin Van Persie

4-0, 71 mins, Adebayor (penalty)

The match is very entertaining, especially the second half. Saw some brilliant skills displayed by the Arsenal players. Hope they can achieve some silverware this season.
