Bolt - The Superdog
Anyway, today we watched Bolt at Yishun. This must have been the third animations that we had watched after Kungfu Panda and Wall.E.
Well, Bolt is a nice show about this truely loyal "superdog" who would always save its master when she is in danger. I must say that all dogs or animals lovers should not miss this show. I rate this show a 4 out of 5.
Go catch the show, it will be well worth your ticket price.

Trip to Desaru
Basically, there is really nothing at Desaru. At the same time, we went on a monsoon seasons. which means no sea sports.
There are some places of "interests" like the Fruit Farm, the Crocodile Farm, Ostrich Farm etc; but all seems boring except for the fruit farm. Nearby Desaru are also the Waterfall and a place called Pengerang which is famous for its many restaurants serving seafood like lobster. However, we are basically "trap" at Desaru as the transport to these places are cut-throat. It cost RM110 for a 30-min ride to / fro Pengerang. Bearing that, they charges RM15 / per hour for the waiting time. So if we spend 2-hour there, it would have cost us RM140 for the transport.
In the end, we went for the fruit farm and a boat tour to see fireflies. Ya... Singaporeans very 山龟, must pay to go see some flies. No pics to show because every way is just so dark. Had fun because the children on board with us are so lively.
Anyway, we took the ferry from Changi Ferry Terminal which provides ample free parking spaces. The boat ride took only 30-min. On the same trip as us are some TCS artistes, Pan Lingling and her family. Also on the ferry are 郭亮 and his son. They also stayed at the same resort as ours.
Us. Before boarding the ferry.
Here it comes. Food and chips for RM20. Quite ok price. Our first meal on the resort.
This is our first time playing table-tennis together. Ha.... nothing much to do. So, have a few games to pass time.
Went Fruit Farm in the afternoon. Only the two of us and we have a private tour guide. RM25 per pax. While I was taking pictures of myself with those durians......
They also have a mini-zoo with some ostrichs. Nothing much here also. Most of the fruit trees are pretty common and can be found locally, like the jackfruits, drangonfruit etc.......
View from our room.
Us again... going home time.....
Overall, this is a pretty enjoyable and super relaxing holiday. A nice getaway for the two of us. But we still prefer our shopping trips...... ha...

Beyond Next Stage Live 2008
Venue : Singapore Indoor Stadium
Event : Beyond Next Stage Live 2008!!!
Had decided long ago that I would not be attending this concert. The reasons been 1) wanted not to waste money; 2) because only 2 of the 3 Beyond were coming and 3) the duo would be singing their own solo song which I dun quite listen to.
However, due to very last minute offer, I was there at the concert on Sat. On Fri, I was offered a ticket as one of the Beyond's fan would not be attending. Thus, I decided to help a friend not to waste the ticket as it is a Row 3 seat. The ticket cost $188 but he is getting it go at $120. In the end, I decided to give him $150. So, that's how I ended up at the concert.
Let some pictures do the talking.
A group photo before the show begans. They are more to our group. Some came late while few others went chatting with the other fans.
Ah Wing, drummer of the now disbanded Beyond, starts the concert. He can sing better now.
A group of super die-hard fans from Malaysia. They really super siao one, they even stayed at the same hotel with Ah Paul and Ah Wing.
A self-taken pic in the midst of the concert.. lol
Ah Wing on the guitar.
Ah Wing and Ah Paul
Ah Paul in action.
Paul and Wing again.
After 2 encores, the concert ends around 11 pm. Went for our supper at Old Airport Rd after that.
Well, to me something is missing from the concert as only 2 of them are here. They did sing some Beyond songs but will be better if the missing member is around. Nevertheless, still an enjoyable concert....

Holidays! Holidays!! Holidays!!!
Darn, the world looks so gloomy. People are losing their jobs, their cash playing stocks, some will lose their lives, others will lose their hairs. But well, I do not care much, I still wanna go for my holidays.
Wanted to get away on a budget trip this Dec. Wanted to go Hong Kong to enjoy the winter. But, as you see, Hong Kong is way out of our budget. So could only go Malaysia or the nearby Batam. In the end, decided to go for a 3D2N short trip to Desaru, staying at Pulai Desaru Beach Resort. Never been to Desaru, but the place looks fun on the show on Channel U. The fruit farm and seafood looks good.
Anyway, do not think there is anything much to do there. Will be just a relaxing trip... maybe enjoy some spa and lazing around by the beach..
Suddenly, the world seems so beautiful again......
:)

Saturday's Outings
Our plans for this day is very simple; that is to bring my dear's mum and sixth aunt to Quan Hu fish farm for fish spa. However, in the end, we visited places that we did not planned before hand. After Quan Hu, we went to the Dragon fruit farm, the Hay Dairies Goat Farm also some organic vegetable farms. So, it is a day when we can be closer to nature.
We set off at about 11am with dear's aunt driving. Ha.. it feels good to be driven around. There are 7 of us; me, dear, dear's mum, dear's aunt and her two kids.
We went to the Quan Hu fish farm first. The spa is considered cheap which cost $10 for 30 mins. This our first time doing this spa. Quite fun, the bites of the fishes are not painful but rather ticklish.
Me at the small fishes pond.
My dear with her mum and aunt.
Look at the fishes!
Over at the big fishes pond, those fishes are pretty big. Some as big as around 20-25cm long.
While the adults were getting bitten by the fishes, the kids catches longkong fishes. Cost $5 per hour and you get to keep the container and the fishes you caught.
You can also feed some hungry koi there.
After the fish spa, we suggested going over to the Drangon fruit farm which is 10mins drive away. Too bad, we went at the wrong time. There is no drangon fruit for sale. It is the low season now. Another three weeks will be good. Nevertheless, saw some grapes there.
And we ended up feeding and playing with the koi there. We spent quite some time there, just to relax and enjoy the clear air. I sort of know one of the owner there, as I had been there for a couple of times already. Had brought their home grown rambutons before.
Next we ended up at the goat farm, just beside the Drangon fruit farm. Soon after I got there, I was attacked by a goat.
Attacked by another one. The goats must have mistaken my brown colored bermudas as dried grass.
The goats are cute. They will suck and lick your fingers if you feed them with grasses.
Us us!!
After the goat farm, dear's aunt wanted to go to a organic farm. Somehow, before we found the organic farm, we ended up at a jetty.. haha... Us us us!!!
Finally, at the organic farm. Nothing much here. The prices are expensive. Had organic ice-creams here.
You jump, I jump???!?!
Last stop, Bollywood. Wanted to walk around this farm which has plenty of different fruits and vegetables. However, the sky starts to rain. So, what can we do but just to keep a photo of ourselves, again..
The day was well-spent, fun and relaxing. Once in a while, it is good to get away from the crowded city area to visit a place which is less crowded. Will take away all your stress... hmm next place to go should be Palua Ubin bah, anyone?
